Saphira® Special Cleaner for folding equipment thoroughly cleans and revitalizes in one go folding rollers used on postpress equipment such as the Heidelberg® Stahlfolder®, leaving the rubber surface of the treated folding rollers smooth and resilient. Developed with the same precision and know-how as our stitching heads, Saphira stitching wires have been optimized for use on your Heidelberg equipment and will offer you the best possible stitching results. We offer two types of stitching wires:

Saphira Stitching Wire Allround. These traditional, German-produced stitching wires cover a wide range of applications and are by far the most precise of their kind worldwide. They can be used on most of our saddlestitching machines. The "Allround" wires demonstrate excellent glide performance, low abrasion and give the stitches a perfect, "clean" look.

Saphira Stitching Wire Extreme. Completing our offering, the "Extreme" stitching wires (also "Made in Germany") are tougher, more resistant and enable other types of applications such as:

• Processing of thicker products thanks to a higher density and overall resistance (reducing wire breaks)
• Replacing thicker "Allround" wire with thinner "Extreme" wire

• The thickness of the processed product
• The thickness of the wire (depending on the stitching head)
• The desired type of stitches
• The mechanical wear of your stitching heads

Whatever your printing needs, Heidelberg® has the ideal printing plate in itsSaphira® range. The Saphira Thermal Plate Chemfree 101 - a negative offset aluminum plate - represents the latest generation of eco-friendly printing plates with outstanding prepress and press properties.

High sensitivity for more plates per hour. Due to an enhanced coating, the plate has been made much more sensitive. This also boosts throughput on the Suprasetter™ and other CtP platesetters.

Higher contrast for easier control. A further benefit of the new coating is its greater contrast. The print image can be seen immediately after imaging and rinsing in the cleaning station. The excellent contrast makes measured and visual checks of the imaged plate simplicity itself.

Efficient cleaning. With Saphira® Wash-up & Go, Heidelberg® offers an innovative and cost-effective cleaning system for your printing equipment. Based on a system of aluminum tray and disposable liners, Saphira Wash-up & Go enables you to clean your machines quickly and efficiently. You no longer need to painstakingly scrub colors after each printing job: simply remove and dispose of the used liner, then install a clean one within your tray.

Cost-effective and environmentally-friendly. By reducing the time needed to clean your machines, Saphira Wash-up & Go enables you to reduce downtime and increase your productivity. Because it eliminates the need to use chemical solvents, Saphira Wash-up & Go also contributes to preserving the environment and improves the quality of your working environment.

The solution for stable plate manufacture. One outstanding feature of the Saphira® Thermal Plate Neg. QN is its very wide processing latitude. Even under the toughest processing conditions, the plate lends stability to the entire plate manufacturing process. Differences in temperature, pH value, activity, or quantities of replenisher have little to no impact on the print result. Imaging causes the light-sensitive layer to fuse. It bonds with the aluminum substrate to ensure excellent stability throughout the run. Non-imaged areas are simply washed out.

Perfect print results. The flat substrate technology and excellent edge definition of the Saphira Thermal Plate Neg. QN minimize print fluctuations throughout the run and also reduce waste.

The gateway to eco-friendly plate manufacture. The Saphira Thermal Plate Neg. QN does not require any aggressive developer. The Saphira Thermal Plate Solution QN is only required to wash out the non-imaged layer. The range of printing chemicals such as dampening and washup solutions which can be used has also been extended.
